This close-up of nature's beauty lasts for only a brief moment, blooming
for about one week in the beginning of June in Southern Ontario.
Extravagant purple/blue petals fluttering on top of tall stems in the
late spring breeze have earned these flowers the nickname of "Flags". This painting was used as a reference example in a book by Lexi Sundell
called PAINTING ACRYLIC FLOWERS A - Z published by Quarto Publishers.
