Spring Garden Painting

MORNING SHOWER

Watercolor Painting of Bluebirds And Garden Water Pump

Morning shower is a still life painting of a rusty old hand-operated water pump that has long been replaced by indoor plumbing. In the silent early morning mist, this old relic with its rusted-out galvanized bucket brigade seems suddenly to burst to life with the arrival on the scene of three excited Bluebirds looking for a quick drink and a bath in the refreshing rainwater left in the reservoir of a natural rock formation by an overnight shower. So much for "still" life!
